The constant growth and requirement to provide both Armenian and Australian information locally and overseas it was decided to create a magazine supported by the H.H.G.M.M. Nairi and H.M.E.M. Ararat Committee named “GAROON”.
With the dedication of five community members ’Garoon’ 1st edition was printed in August 1992 providing articles on Community, Events, Armenia, World, Educational, Health, Athletics, Scouts, Games, Food comprising of 12 pages.
With Garoon, A/NZ Archbishop Baliozian has provided his support and blessing on information regarding Scripture.
Each year it is a tradition, the Garoon Committee organises ball, an event made successful due to its wide community support.
Garoon magazine is published monthly and caters for English and Armenian readers.
