The merger of two Armenian Schools (Raffi and Abovian) in 1989 created the Toomanian School. School caters for students from Kindergarten (4yrs) through to Year 9 and Armenian language and history is taught.

Toomanian school is the only Saturday Armenian School in Sydney which teaches the Eastern Armenian dialect.

Toomanian school graduates have had outstanding success when choosing to continue Armenian studies and sit 2 Unit Armenian Higher School Certificate examination.

LOCATION

Ryde Secondary College.

TIMETABLE

Toomanian School is open NSW school terms each Saturday from 12.45pm to 4.30pm with half an hour recess between 2.30pm to 3pm.

STAFF

Toomanian Teachers

Armenian teachers and the parents committee with the guidance of Mr Robert Griogrian the school principal have established support structure in place. The support structure extends and includes many Armenian functions each year with events such as Vartanank, Abrilian Yegherni, May 28, Mothers’ day, Fathers’ Day, Easter and the end of year concert.
